On June 20, Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Chongqing Municipal People's Government, aiming to strengthen cooperation between the two sides in the fields of industrial digitalization, green and low-carbon, intelligent transportation and related professional personnel training. Based on Siemens' innovative technology, the cooperation between the two parties will further promote the digitization and low-carbon transformation of enterprises in Chongqing, accelerate the construction of a modern manufacturing cluster system, and build an important advanced manufacturing center in China.

Mr. Yuan Jiajun, Secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, and Dr. Roland Busch, Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and CEO of Siemens AG, witnessed the signing of the agreement. Siemens' cooperation with Chongqing began in 1995, and an office was set up in Chongqing in 1996. In 2010, the Chongqing office was officially upgraded to Chongqing Branch. Over the years, Siemens has actively participated in the social and economic construction of Chongqing with its business expertise in the fields of digital industry, intelligent infrastructure and intelligent transportation, and has carried out many beneficial practices. For example, Siemens supports the construction of several subway lines in Chongqing, and actively participates in the construction of Chongqing Cluster, the "East number and west calculation" Chengdu-Chongqing national hub, and participates in the construction of several data centers.

Since 2018, Siemens has become a member of the Chongqing Mayor's International Economic Advisory Group, actively contributing to Chongqing's economic development. Currently, Dr. Xiao Song, Executive Vice President of Siemens Worldwide and Chairman, President and CEO of Siemens China, serves as Economic Advisor to the Mayor of Chongqing Municipality.
